About the Founders
This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: “Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.” -Jeremiah 30:2Kendra Grant
Metaphor Mason, Kendra Grant, works for the University of Arkansas, and lives in the nearby town of Fayetteville with her two intrepid canines. While they mostly enjoy walks and tummy rubs, Kendra is passionate about cultivating a writing community through workshopping, editing, and writing her own YA Adventure stories. Her credentials include a BA and a MFA in Creative Writing, as well as co-founder of Inspiring the Ink Poetry Workshop. Kendra draws on her experience as a 7-12 grade English teacher as fodder for her creative writing and for lessons in pedagogy. Whether you are an experienced writer or fledgling, the Metaphor Mason is ready to assist you on your journey.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, andself-control. Against such things there is no law. -Galatians 5:22-23
Tabi Lawson
Tabi is our Local Wordsmith who has a passion for forging stories with heart and a little sarcasm. She has received a Bachelors in English with a minor in professional writing from Kennesaw State University, a Masters of Business from Indian Wesleyan University, and recently completed a Masters in Creative Writing from Liberty University. Her past times include writing the perfect love story and lyrical verse for her next poem, but her favorite thing to do is connect people from all over through writing. Hailing from a few miles west of Atlanta, she welds together her story alongside her best friend and husband, Dave, their hound dog, and a collection of classic cars that meander into her stories on occasion.
